Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms apply when you use bearmedialab.com and its tools (“Bear Media Lab”, “we”, “us”). By signing in or using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

The short version

1. Why this site exists

Bear Media Lab started as a set of tools we built for our own work, to replace paid software we were subscribing to, such as Canva and, in future, perhaps Microsoft Office. We’ve opened them up so other people can use them too.

2. Free to use, no membership

You can use the tools on this site for free, for personal or commercial work. We do not charge a membership, subscription or sign-up fee, and we don’t plan to. Some tools need you to sign in so we can keep your work and settings, but signing in is free.

We may show ads on some pages to help cover running costs.

3. AI features are pay-per-use

Features that use AI models (for example AI image, video, voice-over, text and transcription tools) are run by outside providers who charge us for every request. To cover that cost, these features are paid for from a prepaid balance:

4. Refunds and your balance

If you think you were charged wrongly, email us within 30 days and we’ll look into it.

5. Your account

You sign in through our sign-on service, Bear Auth. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 to use the site, and under-18s need a parent or guardian’s permission before topping up.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload and create with our tools. You give us permission to process it only so the tool can do what you asked. How we handle that data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, and for how you use what you create. AI-generated output can be inaccurate or resemble existing works, so check it before you rely on or publish it.

7. Fair use

Please don’t use the site to:

If an account breaks these rules, we may suspend or close it. If we close an account for a serious breach, we may keep any remaining balance where the breach caused us costs or legal risk; otherwise we will refund it.

8. The service is provided as is

We built these tools carefully, but they are provided “as is”. Tools may change, be paused or be removed, and we can’t promise the site will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything important.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Malaysia’s Consumer Protection Act 1999 or other laws that can’t be excluded.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. If we make a significant change, we will tell signed-in users on the site or by email. Changes never reduce a balance you already have.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
